	In late 2008, our family was preparing to welcome our fourth child into our home. We were very pleased with our four-bedroom home but we felt anxious about how we were going to raise four kids in this 2000 square-foot, 4-bedroom home. We thought we had no choice but to move to a new home in our area. We searched the MLS and looked at close to 100 homes over a four-month time period. We could not find something that made us feel like it was home. We loved the location of our existing home, on a cul-de-sac, the great school, the neighbors and our pool. The Vision Quest team listened to our ideas and designed a two-bedroom, full bath, great room and wonderful natural cedar porch addition. This addition would give us six bedrooms, three full baths and two living areas. This was perfect for our growing family of six. We began construction on our home addition in late May. At the time, my wife was eight months pregnant with our fourth child and nervous about starting a remodeling project so close to her due date in July. Thom and Ben were very conscientious about making the process easy for our family. The work was done quickly and remained on schedule throughout the entire project. The job site was kept clean and safe for our children and pets. Thom or Ben was on site every day to ensure that the job was being done to Vision Quest’s high quality standards. Thom and Ben were in contact regularly and responded immediately when we had a question, a need, or a concern. Work was even scheduled with consideration to our newborn son being brought home from the hospital. And in the end, the new construction flowed so naturally with the existing house! We thought remodeling projects were a difficult process. In truth, our process was not at all stressful. It was fun to see our home changing shape before our eyes. Now that our addition is complete, we wish that the rest of our home was as well-built and thoughtfully designed. We have recommended Vision Quest to our family and friends. 	Having an outdoor living area has been a wonderful experience for family. We have literally moved our family time with all the kids and grandkids to outside. 	When the project was started, all I knew was that I wanted an area to entertain around the pool. Thom's creativity took over, and he created an area that is unusual yet very functional. We have a bar area that contains the kitchen with grill, a fireplace sitting area, and a sand beach area. They are all separate areas that can accommodate lots of friends having great fun. He added special touches that I never would have thought of, like a misting system, outdoor audio, solar shower, and a lighting control panel that controls all the landscape and specialty lighting from one central location. 	Thomas Burkhardt of Vision Quest Design Group turned ideas, hopes, and dreams into a backyard reality. We now consider our backyard an extension of our living space.
